In the field of military surgery, he published works on penetrating wounds of the abdomen, wounds of the kidneys and ureter, wounds of the peripheral nerves, cranioplasty, and wounds of the spinal cord. Gosset's main works in the field of surgery relate to the technique of gastrotomy, gastroenterostomy, and surgical interventions in the area of the bile duct and the hepatic duct ("De la duodénotomie dans la lithiase du cholédoque", Journ. de chir., t. V, № 5, 1914; "De la cholédocotomie pour lithiase", Presse méd., 1925, № 31). He proposed a method of cholecystectomy by approaching the gallbladder from behind and developed a method of duodenotomy for stones of the bile duct. In the field of gynecology, he proposed

a method of total abdominal hysterectomy for purulent inflammations of the Fallopian tubes, with drainage through the vagina. Finally, he described the technique of thoracotomy for pulmonary echinococcosis and proposed a special method of total laryngectomy.
